The Pleasures of Friendship

I’ve been having a lovely week catching up with friends we haven’t chatted to for a long time, this oldie and favourite verse springs to mind. I hope you enjoy it and have a great weekend wherever in the world you are.

The Pleasures of Friendship

The pleasures of friendship are exquisite,

How pleasant to go to a friend on a visit!

I go to my friend, we walk on the grass,

And the hours and moments like minutes pass.

What a lovely poem, friends near and far are very important. Like you, living abroad, it’s thanks to modern technology that it’s easier to keep in contact, but it’s hard not to miss those people close to us. I will be sharing this verse today with friends 🙂
