Facebook, Twitter, blog, Pinterest, LinkedIn and now Google+
Wow… you can certainly find us all over the net … and right beside the Marco Polo Tower when you are in Korcula.
The latter is of course the most exciting but you can find out so much about us when you search on-line. Of course the most exciting option is to come and meet us in Korcula where we are delighted to be sharing the art/craft of filigree. There is always something being created on the jewellers bench in our store and generally you will find Doka here working – when he is not here I am able to demonstrate some basic filigree techniques and explain how we create each of the pieces that we sell here.
Because we are located on a small side street in a not so busy town I have been investigating and experimenting with social media to expand our business beyond the short 3 month season that we experience here. So far I really feel that social media is working for us, we often receive enquiries about creating bespoke pieces of jewellery, and have found customers via Twitter and our Facebook page. Our images are often re-pinned on Pinterest where we share our jewellery alongside of a wide variety of articles about Croatia.
Sharing via Google + is our most recent venture, as a novice – I am again taking on a 30 Day Challenge via Sarah Arrow & Nikki Pilkington. Today is day three and my next stop for the day is our Google+ account to enhance our profile and finish todays challenge.
We have also just received qr-codes from the lovely Helen of Helz Design – I am so excited by these codes!! Of course we had to check that the codes worked so downloaded an app onto the phone and there we were scan friendly, very cool. I don’t understand the technology at all but I love it and can’t wait to see someone (aside from me) scanning our new sign.
Are any of you on Google+ or what is your favourite social media site?
We would love to hear from you with any feedback and suggestions for any of our sites/pages.
🙂 🙂
