Creating Bespoke Jewellery

During the summer we have the pleasure of meeting a number of friends from our Seba Dizajn facebook page, the set featured here was created for one of our facebook friends visiting from Switzerland.  Natascha did not see exactly what she wanted in store, we talked a little more and worked out how long she was staying on the island and what she was looking for. The filigree and turquoise set that we created for her and some of the production process can be seen here.

Natascha was delighted with the set, and left the store wearing her new jewellery, the perfect advert – a happy customer wearing beautiful jewellery.

We really enjoy our bespoke work and the challenge of a new project.  You don’t need to be here in Korcula to have a bespoke piece created, please feel free to email us with any ideas you may have, we are here to help with any of your questions and enquiries –

  1. Very attractive.

How is the silver cleaned after heating? Do you rub it with something or dip it in something, or what?

    • Seba Silver says:

Hi David. Good question – we use a gentle acid for cleaning the silver, it is a mix of water, hydrochloric acid & salt, a piece of copper is placed in this mix as this produces a reaction that helps clean the silver. We will often clean a piece several times in this mix – acid mix, rinse, flame, repeat – to get the desired finish. The hydrochloric acid we use is very gentle – purchased at the supermarket and used here for some sort of household cleaning – though am not sure what.

  2. Filigree is so beautifull! I love it!
But it’s so dificult to make and fragile with fire… Like lace made of silver. Your beautifull jewelry reminds of how hard I have to work in order to be called a Jeweller one day. 🙂
