About Us

We are a small family owned & operated business, run by Adolf & Ruth Seba – a Croatian/New Zealand couple.

Adolf is the creative force behind Seba SILVER, his father, grandfather, great grandfather and some more greats, have all influenced his own unique style.

Adolf continues to work alongside of his father, Gjovalin Seba, sharing ideas, inspiration &  fun stories.

In June 2011 we opened a small store on the island of Korcula, in the south of Croatia.  Our store (Seba Dizajn) is a small window to showcase filigree jewellery and the filigree tradition to visitors to Korcula.  The summer visitor season here in Korcula is a short one, outside of the season the majority of businesses are closed and Korcula is a very sleepy winter destination.

We hope that with the aid of this blog and our facebook page, www.facebook.com/SebaDizajn we will be able to share the filigree tradition with a much wider audience.  We have also launched a web page dedicated to our filigree jewellery, www.sebasilver.com.

I started this blog to share our business start up story alongside information and stories about filigree, jewellery making and family traditions and it has morphed into a blog about jewellery and so much more. I am enjoying sharing our stories with you, loving reading your feedback and hope you will join us and enjoy the journey.

      Thanks for the positive feedback and encouragement – we are now nearing the end of our second season with our small shop in Korcula. Growing a business in Croatia and via the internet continues to provide a challenge – for the most part a good one 🙂 I think our favourite part is meeting new customers are sharing the process of creating our unique filigree jewellery.

    My boyfriend recently visited his family in Croatia and paid a visit to Korcula where he bought me one of your beautiful pendants. It has travelled all the way to South Africa and is admired by everyone who sees it 🙂
